Are you a complete beginner who is excited to explore their creativity? This is the place for you! Introduction to Painting is designed for adults with no prior drawing or painting experience. We start from square one and build a solid foundation to get you set up for success on your creative journey. In a relaxed yet structured small group environment, you’ll be encouraged to explore your creative voice and receive personalized instruction to guide you each step of the way.
Using Acrylic paint, you will explore the fundamental elements of painting (Color, Form, Value, and Line) and develop your own personal style. Students choose their own reference images and are encouraged to explore whatever painting style excites and inspires them. Engage in constructive critique with your instructor and fellow classmates while developing a deeper insight into your personal creative process. Students may repeat the course to continue developing their skills & creative voice. After the first month, you will be given the opportunity to expand your color palette if desired.
